Feather Edge Cladding Guide

  • Horizontal attachment only

  • Install from the bottom up, so the boards overlap. For the first board consider putting a strip behind for support and ensure it is completely level as this is a critical piece.

  • The overlapping of the feather edge cladding is very important and must be kept consistent. A minimum of 25mm overlap is required.

  • Fix the board with 1 nail, either end of the board. This nail should be secured 10mm above the top edge of the previous board. This is sufficient, and if you use more nails than this the board may split when shrinking.

  • End joining of the boards should occur on top of a batten and should be staggered, so that the board join in different places throughout the cladding.
